In this video, I started at Nana BTS station and finished close to Phrom Phong. On the way, I wandered down Sukhumvit Soi 9, Sukhumvit Soi 11, Soi Cowboy, and Sukhumvit Soi 23.

Like previous videos, it’s surreal walking in the city center during the coronavirus lockdown. Soi Cowboy, in particular, was looking very sad. It seems so much smaller when there’s no one there and all the bars are closed. On a typical Sunday afternoon, it wouldn’t be packed but there would absolutely be patrons enjoying a cold beer in anticipation of the evening ahead. Also, notice the traffic on Sukhumvit road before the Asok intersection. It’s never this empty on a Sunday afternoon. It’s usually a glorified car park! Terminal 21 was also looking dead. This would be pretty much unthinkable during a typical weekend afternoon.

Bangkok is slowly coming back to life but there’s still a long way to go until it’s anywhere close to ‘normal’.

Note. Still waiting for a more stable backpack clip for my wearable gimbal to come in the post. My wife claimed when I made the order that post from China is pretty quick these days. Clearly not…

During this walk my gimbal was being thoroughly uncooperative and, several times, it really didn’t want to point in the direction I wanted it to. My apologies.

Not a vlog. No talking. Just Bangkok. Pure and unedited.
